‘Hello Friends!’ – Learning Japanese Language with Japanese Students

To facilitate DNTU students’ sharing and discussion of themes such as sightseeing spots in Japan, traditional Japanese dishes, and Japanese people’s interests; as well as to assist students in developing critical thinking abilities, questioning skills, and communicating with international students. The DNTU International Affairs Office hosted a student exchange and sharing event on March 4, 2022, with students from Dong Nai Technology University (DNTU) and Nihon Institute of Medical Science (NIMS) in Japan.

Participating in the proram, on the side of Dong Nai Technology University (DNTU), there were:

• Ms. Phan Vo Quynh Nhu – Vice President for International Affairs
• Ms. Nguyen Hoang Yen Nhi – Specialist of International Affairs Office
• Ms. Do Thi Ngoc Mai – Specialist of International Affairs Office
• Along with more than 30 students majoring in Japanese in the Faculty of Foreign Languages.

On the side of Nihon Institute of Medical Science (NIMS), Japan, there was the presence of:

• Assoc. Shuji Amano – Lecturer in the Faculty of Foreign Languages.
• Ms. Chikako Mori – Specialist of International Research and Training Department.
• And 02 lecturers from NIMS

On behalf of DNTU students, Trinh Bao Phong and Nguyen Dang Bao Ngoc (student of the Faculty of Foreign Languages) had very interesting sharing through the program: “The lecturers are really friendly and approachable. And today, we have gained a lot of useful things. This is also the motivation for me and my friends to strive harder in the process of practicing foreign languages as well as learning more about Japanese culture.”

The program has brought Vietnamese – Japanese students many useful and interesting things. Through such meaningful and practical programs, DNTU students have the opportunity to exchange cultures, learn and expand knowledge; At the same time, it is also a useful playground with diverse experiences.

The online cultural exchange program has continued to provide a different route for students from the two schools to engage, exchange cultures, and obtain more knowledge in the context of the Covid-19 epidemic. This program also provides us the opportunity to learn more about different nations, make international friends, and improve your foreign language skills. All of these things are crucial to consider as you prepare to become global citizens in the future.
