DNTU attended The 5th P2A Annual General Meeting

In the last days of 2021, DNTU participated in The 5th P2A Annual General Meeting with representatives of P2A member universities to summarize past activities as well as discuss our future direction of P2A activities together. The year 2021 might was not an easy year for us, but it was also a motivation year for us to strive hard and discover the potential within each of us.

The 5th P2A Annual General Meeting was held online due to the pandemic’s impact, and was coordinated by the P2A Secretariat – Duy Tan University (Da Nang City, Vietnam) with the participation of all institutions’ members, including Mr. Jeroen G. Schedler – Chair Executive Committee.

A performance by ASEAN students welcomed the event, singing about ASEAN countries’ cooperation with the message #WEAREUNITY.

At the same time, we were able to welcome 06 new members from the following universities to the P2A organziation:

  1. Atmajaya Jakarta Catholic University Indonesia
  2. Petra Christian University Indonesia
  3. Northwestern University Philippines
  4. Dalubhasaan Ng Lunsod Ng San Pablo Philippines
  5. Saint Mary’s University Philippines
  6. Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta Indonesia

Hopefully, welcoming new friends into the P2A big family will provide us with new possibilities.

In addition, a major focus of the event was the introduction of new models of collaboration between Universities and Businesses. Most educational instructors are interested in this new orientation due to the fact that their students are earger to learn practical skills and knowledges to contribute to businesses in the future and even be able to afford to encourage students entrepreneurship.

DNTU indeed anticipate a bright future for P2A member universities in 2022 as a result of these new proposed plan for the next year.

Finally, the event closing remarks was held by Mr. Jeroen G. Schedler, Chair of the Executive Committee. He expressed his honest thoughts that P2A would continue to gain greater success in uniting ASEAN nations, despite language difficulties and differing educational systems.

For us, DNTU is also hope that when the epidemic is officially over, our students will continue to participate in the best activities of the P2A organization in the coming year.
